Job Title: Systems Engineer- Unified Communications

Location: Mexico (Remote)

Duration: 6+ Months

This role is an individual contributor responsible for day-to-day systems engineering across on-premises infrastructure, VMware virtualization, and unified communications platforms. The adecuado candidate brings solid hands-on experience across server, storage, and voice technologies and is comfortable supporting hybrid environments. This is not a leadership or architect role — we need someone who thrives getting the work done.

Experience Target

4–6 years of IT systems engineering experience in a production environment

Hands-on VMware experience (ESXi, vSphere, vCenter) — 3+ years preferred

Prior exposure to enterprise voice or call center infrastructure (Avaya, Verint, or equivalent)

Core Technical Skills

Virtualization & Compute

VMware vSphere / ESXi — configuration, administration, and day-to-day troubleshooting

vCenter management, cluster operations, and patch lifecycle

VMware Horizon VDI — gold image management, session performance, and user environment management





Physical server build-out: rack, cable, and integrate with network and storage infrastructure

Storage

SAN storage administration (provisioning, LUN management, performance monitoring)

Familiarity with capacity planning and storage performance tuning

Data center fundamentals: power, cooling, and rack-and-stack practices

Operating Systems

Windows Server administration — Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy

Linux administration (Debian or RHEL/CentOS family); comfort at the command line

Automation & Scripting

PowerShell scripting for Windows automation and systems management

Bash scripting for Linux task automation

Exposure to Ansible or similar configuration management tools is a plus

Networking (Foundational)

Working understanding of VLANs, switching, and virtual networking within VMware

Basic TCP/IP, DNS, and firewall concepts — enough to work alongside a dedicated networking
