The Accounting Supervisor is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the company's statutory accounting and financial compliance activities in Mexico. Reporting directly to the Accounting Manager, this position ensures the accuracy and integrity of the General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Treasury functions, tax reporting, statutory filings, and financial reporting requirements.

This role serves as the primary point of contact for external auditors, government agencies, and corporate finance teams regarding Mexican accounting matters. The position is also responsible for supporting government certifications related to customs, fiscal compliance, and other regulatory requirements, while leading continuous improvement initiatives within the accounting department.

Minimum Qualifications

- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.




- Minimum of 6 years of progressive accounting experience in a maquiladora/manufacturing environment.
- At least 3-4 years of direct personnel supervisory experience.
- Bilingual English and Spanish (spoken, written, and verbal communication).
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Strong analytical, organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Experience with SAP or a similar ERP system preferred.
- Strong knowledge of Mexican GAAP, US GAAP, and corporate accounting policies.
- Comprehensive understanding of Mexican tax regulations, labor obligations, statutory reporting requirements, and government compliance.
- Experience coordinating and managing external audits.
