About the Role The GL Senior accountant will be directly report to the Finance Director PT-Mexico and is responsible to ensures the integrity of accounting information by recording, verifying, consolidating, and entering transactions in the Central Shared Service Center, Mexican Holding company and US-Lighting ledger.

Responsabilities:

- Daily administrative activities for the Central shared service Center, as request vendor creation, prepare payment run, and ensure on time payments
- Internal control processes and procedures for the Purchase to pay process an communicate to the Central shared service center team
- Travel expense control and HR support for fuel and travel cards.
- Prepares and records asset, liability, revenue, and expenses entries by compiling and analyzing account information.
- Maintains and balances subsidiary accounts by verifying, allocating, posting, reconciling transactions; resolving discrepancies.
- Maintains general ledger by transferring subsidiary accounts; preparing a trial balance; reconciling entries.
- Summarizes financial status by collecting information; preparing balance sheet, profit and loss, and other statements.
- Secures financial information by completing database backups.
- Protects organization's value by keeping information confidential.
- Analyze financial information and summarize financial status.
- Participate in financial standards setting and in forecast process.




- Prepare financial statements and produce budget according to schedule.
- Direct internal and external audits to ensure compliance.
- Support month-end and year-end close process.
- Ensure compliance with GAAP principles.
- Assist SOX compliance plus testing for entire CSS, Holding and US-lighting entities.
- Audits and approves employee expense report submissions.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Business-related field.

Required Skills

- Proven experience of 3-5 years as a GL and account payable accountant accounting supervisor, chief or senior accountant.
- With experience in Financial planning activities as Forecast, Budget and Reporting.
- Computer proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook). MS Access experience preferred.
- System experience with SAP, Mfg Pro, Plex or similar ERP system is preferred.
- In-depth understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), Internal control procedures, Planning and reporting.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- English intermediate level.
- Demonstrates speed and flexibility as appropriate in responding and adapting to changes.
- Promotes cooperation within the team and between teams.
- Demonstrates the ability to adapt to a challenging and developing environment; willingness to take on new responsibilities as our business evolves.
