Finance Specialist

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Finance Specialist to join our team. This role will be responsible for the day-to-day management of Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR) and Treasury, ensuring accurate records in our billing and ERP system, and supporting financial process improvements.

What You’ll Do Here

- Deal with AP and AR, ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices and payments.
- Issue and manage electronic invoices (CFDI) in compliance with SAT regulations, including payment complements (complementos de pago).
- Follow up on payment complements once client payments are received, ensuring timely issuance within SAT deadlines.
- Record and reconcile financial transactions in the ERP system.
- Maintain organized financial records and documentation (contracts, invoices, bank statements, payment evidence).
- Act as operational liaison with the external accounting firm on day-to-day tax and billing matters.
- Support internal and external audit processes by providing accurate documentation and records.
- Follow up with delinquent customers and conduct payment negotiations when necessary.
- Liaise with suppliers for invoice processing and resolve discrepancies.
- Review monthly expense closing in partnership with the Operations Team.
- Conduct cash flow monitoring, billing analysis, and bank reconciliations.
- Improve financial controls, tools,



and reporting mechanisms to enhance process efficiency.
- Support internal teams and clients in resolving payment and invoicing issues.
- Report to the Finance Manager any discrepancies, found or risks in mentioned tasks.

We Need a Person With

- Proven experience with Billing (invoicing in Mexico), AP/AR processes and ERP systems.
- Knowledge of Mexican tax regulations, SAT requirements, and CFDI electronic invoicing
- Experience with electronic invoicing platforms (SAP, CONTPAQi, Aspel, or equivalent)
- Experience handling foreign currency transactions and international payments
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively with internal teams, clients, and suppliers.
- Good written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Excel proficiency and experience with financial reporting tools.
- Collaborative mindset and continuous improvement approaches.
- Knowledge of basic accounting principles and financial reporting.

What We Consider As a Plus

- Familiarity with international payment processes or multi-currency environments.
- Intermediate Excel (e.g., PivotTables, VLOOKUP, Power Query) and Google Sheets.
- AI knowledge.
- Previous experience in startups or other fast-paced, dynamic environments.
- Experience with CRM tools such as Hubspot for cross-referencing commercial and financial data
- Familiarity with project management tools such as Asana
