Responsabilidades
Objective
Ensure efficient and effective production planning to meet revenue targets, shipment commitments, and on-time delivery performance, aligning manufacturing capacity with customer demand.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain the Master Production Schedule (MPS) using ERP and advanced planning tools.
- Generate production schedules and dispatch lists aligned with capacity, material availability, and customer requirements.
- Provide monthly shipment forecasts and act as the main point of contact for scheduling with Program Management and Customer Service.
- Monitor production floor conditions (capacity, constraints, issues)
and adjust schedules in real time.
- Anticipate demand fluctuations and alert leadership on significant upswings/downsides, enabling proactive planning.
- Prioritize production in coordination with Program Management when constraints in materials, labor, or equipment arise.
- Identify and communicate inconsistencies in BOMs, routings, or system data impacting schedule accuracy.
- Manage and respond to schedule disruptions caused by material shortages or manufacturing issues, minimizing operational impact.
- Collaborate closely with Purchasing and Materials teams to ensure timely material availability.
- Define and document production scheduling rules:
- Line assignments
- Equipment and test constraints
- Setup optimization opportunities
- Product sequencing strategies
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize scheduling processes and tools.
Requisitos
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, Business or related field.
- +3–5 years experience in production planning / scheduling / materials management (manufacturing environment preferred).
- Strong knowledge of ERP/MRP systems (SAP, Oracle, or similar).
- Experience with Advanced Planning & Scheduling (APS) tools is a plus.
- Solid analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-mix manufacturing environment.
- Strong communication skills; able to interact with cross-functional teams.
