- Act as sales and marketing representative and liaison between customers and the Commercial District Sales Office
- Evaluate current market opportunities and use the account management process to identify key customers
- Build long-term relationships across the assigned territory with contractors and building owners
- Identify customer problems and evaluate opportunities to determine which Trane products and services best meet customer needs
- Maintain expert knowledge of Trane’s product line to create optimal customer solutions
- Facilitate introductions of key customer contacts to other sales teams for specific opportunity development
- Partner with other account managers to provide combined solutions to customers
- Travel occasionally to customer worksites
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, administration, sales, or similar field
- Minimum 5 years of experience in solution sales with a record of achieving and exceeding sales targets
- Demonstrated ability to generate and qualify leads
- Ability to facilitate customer conversations with enterprise-level information to establish value and create demand
- Ability to close new business and grow existing account relationships
- Must possess a driver’s license
- Expert knowledge of Trane’s product line
