Responsibilities
- Leads the local budget and forecasting process, supporting the General Manager (GM) and Finance Director (FD) to achieve their P&L;, working capital and CAPEX targets.
- Supports the FD in monthly closing activities, including reconciliation of variances vs. budget and root-cause analysis.
- Delivers monthly management reporting to support the GM and the local multifunctional leadership team in driving performance across the full P&L; and Balance sheet.
- Supports the FD in maintaining a strong control environment and full compliance with applicable regulations and legislation; specifically responsible for regular testing of internal controls.
- Works closely with operational management and procurement to review cost structure and drive cost analyses, identifying areas for improvement.
- Supports the FD in year-end closing and audit activities.
- Acts as business partner to Sales: supporting volume & sales forecasting, customer pricing, tender process, gross profit (GP1) analysis and growth strategy.
- Acts as business partner to Production:
production forecasting, product costing, inventory management, scrap analysis, cost center analysis, productivity and capacity analysis.
- Prepares “make-or-buy” analyses and leads business cases for major CAPEX projects.
- Acts as key user of the local ERP system (INFOR).
- Supports financial projects, e.g. ERP release upgrades and rollouts, reporting automation, finance digitalization.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Accounting or Finance
- 5+ years of experience in controlling (FP&A;), including exposure to an international environment
- Experience in supply chain finance (operations controlling) required, commercial controlling experience highly valued but not a must.
- Track record of consistently driving performance and change
- Experience in packaging industry preferred, but not a must
- Strong analytical skills, business understanding and strategic thinking
- Communication and influencing skills, proficient to advanced level
- Ability to build relationships and collaborate across the full organization
- Ability to prioritize tasks and support/drive the change agenda
- Advanced controlling (FP&A;) and internal controls skills
- Integrity
- Strong work ethic and attention to detail
- Proficiency in INFOR or a similar ERP system
