We're looking for a Product Designer specialized in Design Systems to join a high-impact project and help build the Pharos Design System from the ground up.
This is not a maintenance role — you'll have the opportunity to define the foundation of a scalable design system, working at the intersection of Product Design & Front-End Development.
?? What you'll be doing:
• Build and define reusable UI components from 0-to-1
• Establish component architecture, design tokens, governance and implementation patterns
• Work extensively with Figma and Storybook
• Ensure alignment between Figma designs and front-end implementation
• Build, document and govern reusable component libraries
• Collaborate closely with Product Designers and Engineering teams
• Ensure accessibility, consistency and scalability across products
? What we're looking for:
• 5+ years of experience contributing to or owning Design Systems / Component Libraries
• Strong expertise in Figma component architecture — variants,
auto-layout, tokens & properties
• Hands-on experience with Storybook and reusable component libraries
• Strong front-end technical skills, ideally with Angular
• Experience working with component-based solutions and QA processes
• Strong systems-thinking and documentation skills
?? Nice to have:
• Design System governance & contribution models
• Design token pipelines
• Experience building a Design System from scratch (0-to-1)
• Familiarity with MCP / Figma MCP
• Experience leveraging AI to accelerate component creation and documentation
• Portfolio or case studies demonstrating Design System work
