Position: Staff Engineer – Systems Simulation & Thermal Engineering
Location: Remote (Mexico)
Job Summary
We are seeking a Staff Engineer with strong expertise in systems simulation, thermal engineering, and product development to lead complex engineering and New Product Introduction (NPI) programs. The role will focus on high-fidelity system modeling, simulation-driven design, optimization, physical validation, and supporting controls development.
The idóneo candidate will have hands-on experience with Modelica/Dymola, HVAC&R; or refrigeration systems, Python/Julia automation, Model-in-the-Loop (MiL), DOE, and multi-objective optimization, along with the ability to drive technical decisions across cross-functional engineering teams.
Key Responsibilities
Lead system-level and component-level simulation for complex thermal/HVAC&R; systems.
Develop and maintain high-fidelity Modelica/Dymola models and reusable component libraries.
Drive simulation strategy for NPI and new technology development programs.
Develop and deliver FMU/FMI models for Model-in-the-Loop controls validation.
Apply DOE, Monte Carlo, tradespace analysis, and multi-objective optimization to evaluate design alternatives and system performance.
Develop Python/Julia automation for parameter studies, data processing, simulation workflows, and performance analysis.
Lead simulation-to-test correlation and physical validation activities.
Translate simulation results into actionable engineering and architecture decisions.
Establish simulation methodologies, validation standards, and engineering best practices.
Collaborate closely with design, controls, testing, and product engineering teams.
Mentor engineers and provide technical leadership on simulation-driven product development.
Required Qualifications
7+ years of experience in systems simulation, thermal engineering, mechanical engineering, or related product development.
Strong hands-on experience with Modelica/Dymola and system-level modeling.
