Java Application Support Engineer

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated
Java Application Support Engineer
to provide production support, maintenance, monitoring, troubleshooting, and enhancement of enterprise Java-based applications. The idóneo candidate will have strong experience supporting applications built on the
Java Spring Framework, J2EE, Oracle Database, JSP, JSTL, JavaScript, jQuery, and AWS
platforms. This role requires excellent problem-solving skills, a customer-focused mindset, and the ability to work in a fast-paced production environment.

Key Responsibilities
- Provide Level 2 and Level 3 application support for mission-critical Java applications.
- Monitor application health, performance, and availability across production and non-production environments.
- Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve application incidents within established SLAs.
- Perform root cause analysis (RCA) and implement preventive measures.
- Support deployments, releases, and application upgrades.
- Analyze logs and system behavior to identify and resolve issues.




- Work closely with development, infrastructure, database, and business teams to resolve production problems.
- Execute SQL queries and troubleshoot database-related issues in Oracle.
- Support applications hosted in AWS environments.
- Maintain and enhance existing Java-based applications.
- Create and maintain technical documentation, support procedures, and knowledge base articles.
- Participate in on-call support rotations and incident management activities.
- Identify opportunities for automation and process improvement.

Required Technical Skills

Core Technologies
- Strong experience with
Java/J2EE
application support and development.
- Hands-on experience with
Spring Framework (Spring MVC, Spring Boot, Spring Core)
.
- Experience with
Oracle Database
including SQL query writing, performance analysis, and troubleshooting.
- Knowledge of
JSP (Java Server Pages)
and
JSTL
.
- Strong understanding of
JavaS
