Procurement/Pricing Specialist

Position Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and strategic Procurement/Pricing Specialist to join our logistics team. This role is responsible for developing and executing pricing strategies, managing procurement processes, and ensuring competitive and accurate rate structures across all modes of transportation, including OTR (Over-the-Road), Ocean, and Air. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in the logistics or 3PL industry and a strong understanding of carrier negotiations, rate management, and cross-functional collaboration.

Key Responsibilities:

* Develop and maintain competitive pricing strategies for OTR, Ocean, and Air freight services.
* Manage RFQ/RFP processes
* Collaborate with Sales, Operations, and Finance teams to ensure alignment of pricing strategies with business goals.
* Negotiate rates and terms with carriers, ensuring favorable service levels and cost-efficiency.




* Maintain up-to-date pricing databases and tools for easy access and analysis.
* Analyze carrier rate structures and accessorial charges to ensure competitiveness and profitability.
* Build and maintain strong relationships with transportation vendors and service providers.
* Monitor market trends and pricing benchmarks to support business development and operational planning.
* Presentation and reporting skills.

Required Qualifications:

* Bachelor’s degree in business, Supply Chain, Logistics, or a related field.
* Prior experience in a logistics or 3PL environment, specifically in pricing and procurement.
* Proven experience in quoting across OTR, Ocean, and Air freight modes.
* Strong understanding of carrier pricing structures and accessorial charges.
* Excellent negotiation and vendor relationship management skills.
* Demonstrated experience managing RFQs and RFPs.
