Manage company supply chain compliance with ITAR, EAR, and applicable import/export regulatory requirements
Provide strategic leadership for regional export and re-export activities
Provide expert guidance and interpretation of regional country laws and regulations
Develop, implement, and review the worldwide Global Trade Compliance Program Manual, policies, and procedures
Oversee compliance and risk audits across company locations in the region
Develop corrective action plans and ensure completion of corrective actions
Assess compliance process gaps and recommend tools, processes, and personnel needs
Build relationships with regional government and customs agencies and lead meetings with officials
Maintain current company registrations with applicable regional agencies
Monitor changes in trade compliance laws and regulations and assess business impact
Implement regional online and classroom global trade compliance training
Improve integral trade compliance practices and share best practices
Review and approve voluntary/prior disclosure documentation before governmental submission
Develop strategies and implement regional trade compliance IT tools
Design and maintain a regional database of government export/import approvals
Design and implement authorization maintenance and compliance assessment tools
Manage a cross-functional Tactical Advisory Committee supporting improved processes and procedures
Manage experienced professional employees and/or supervisors and contribute to departmental budgets and performance standards
Requirements
Typically 6+ years of work experience
2+ years of supervisory experience
Bachelors degree or equivalent experience from which comparable knowledge and job skills can be obtained
Expert knowledge of International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR), Export Administration Regulations (EAR), and other local, national,
and international import/export regulatory requirements
Knowledge of regional export/import trade laws and regulations
Ability to lead export and re-export activities
Ability to develop and implement trade compliance policies, procedures, tools, and programs
Ability to conduct compliance and risk audits and develop corrective action plans
Ability to build and maintain relationships with government and customs agencies
Ability to implement trade compliance training programs
Ability to design and maintain databases and assessment tools
Ability to manage cross-functional committees
Ability to collaborate with global teams, customers, functional peer managers, and senior management
Core Competencies
Demonstrates expert knowledge of ITAR and EAR regulations, with a strong ability to develop and implement trade compliance policies and training programs. Proven experience in managing compliance audits, building relationships with government agencies, and leading cross-functional teams.
