Description
In this role, your responsibilities will be:
Logistics
Lead logistics and freight optimization initiatives across the Americas region, ensuring performance improvements in cost, service, quality, delivery, capacity, and cash flow
Analyze freight spend, transportation volumes, and logistics performance to identify savings opportunities and drive network optimization
Develop and implement transportation strategies across all transportation modes, including ground, air, ocean, and parcel
Evaluate carrier performance, negotiate transportation agreements, and support carrier selection and implementation activities
Lead air transportation spot bids and support deployment of Supply Chain Optimization (SCO) initiatives across ISV sites
Validate, improve, and reengineer freight processes to eliminate non-value-added activities
Support manufacturing sites, suppliers, and customers with logistics-related initiatives and issue resolution
Coordinate logistics projects across the Americas and act as the ISV Americas Super User for transportation systems such as OTM
Develop reporting tools, performance metrics, and KPI dashboards to monitor carrier performance and transportation effectiveness
Deliver logistics training and support to site logistics teams on corporate transportation tools and processes
Participate in corporate transportation mode teams and contribute to strategic contract awards and network decisions
Indirect Procurement
Develop and execute sourcing strategies for indirect spend categories aligned with business and global procurement objectives
Build annual indirect spend budgets and savings targets through cost analysis, supplier benchmarking, and strategic sourcing initiatives
Lead eSourcing and negotiation projects across North America, ensuring achievement of cost-saving goals
Manage supplier negotiations, contracts, delivery terms, payment terms, and compliance with corporate policies
Prepare and manage RFQs, evaluate supplier proposals, conduct financial analyses, and make sourcing recommendations
Partner with stakeholders to understand business requirements, capital plans, and procurement needs
Monitor supplier performance and conduct supplier business reviews to drive continuous improvement
Create and maintain indirect spend reports, savings dashboards, and analytics aligned with global reporting requirements
Coordinate with Emerson business units to leverage global purchasing opportunities and optimize supplier relationships
Ensure sourcing activities comply with legal, ethical, regulatory, and company requirements
Communicate procurement strategies, sourcing decisions, and project updates across business functions and manufacturing sites

For this role, you will need:
Bachelor's Degree in Business, Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, Supply Chain, or a related field
Minimum of 4 years of professional experience in an international or multinational business environment
Minimum of 2 years of experience in logistics, supply chain, procurement, import/export, or transportation-related functions
Strong analytical and financial acumen with the ability to evaluate costs, identify trends, and develop optimization strategies
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and other business reporting tools.
Strong knowledge of logistics, transportation, freight forwarding, and supply chain management principles
Experience negotiating with suppliers, carriers, and service providers
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while working across diverse business functions and geographies
Strong problem-solving, project management, and stakeholder management skills
Ability to influence decisions and drive results in a matrix organization
Knowledge of transportation management systems (TMS) and supply chain technologies
Preferred Qualifications That Set You Apart:
Experience supporting global or regional logistics networks in a manufacturing environment
Experience leading transportation bids, carrier negotiations, and network optimization initiatives
Working knowledge of Transportation Management Systems (TMS), OTM, EDI, XML, and related logistics technologies
Experience with indirect sourcing, eSourcing tools, supplier performance management, and contract negotiations
Familiarity with capital procurement processes and supplier business review methodologies
Experience implementing continuous improvement and cost-reduction initiatives across logistics and procurement operations
Knowledge of general supply chain optimization programs and strategic sourcing methodologies
Native or advanced Mandarin language proficiency is a plus
Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and influence stakeholders at multiple organizational levels
