responsibilities
- monitor and evaluate manufacturing processes to ensure compliance with quality standards and regulatory requirements.
- conduct inspections, audits, and tests of components
- analyze and resolve quality issues, implementing corrective and preventive actions as necessary.
- develop, implement, and maintain standard operating procedures (sops) for quality control and testing.
- review product designs, specifications, and production methods to ensure quality standards are integrated from the beginning. Work with engineering and production teams to optimize production methods and quality standards.
- conduct root cause analysis of quality problems and collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve issues.
- collaborate with clients and external partners to ensure product quality and resolve quality concerns promptly.
- supervise and mentor quality technicians, providing guidance on testing, inspections, and reporting.
- develop and deliver training programs to educate production staff and quality technicians on quality standards and best practices.
- maintain detailed records of inspections, tests, and audits to ensure traceability and compliance with industry standards.
- prepare and present quality reports to management, highlighting key performance indicators (kpis), trends, and improvement initiatives.
qualifications
- bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, industrial engineering, quality engineering, or a related field.
- minimum of 4-8 years of experience in a quality engineering role,
ideally within the hvac, thermal systems, or assembly component industries.
- experience in supervising quality technicians and leading quality improvement initiatives.
- knowledge of quality standards such as iso 9001, asq certifications, and other relevant industry standards.
- experience with statistical analysis, process control techniques, and root cause analysis methods
physical & environmental demands
- the role is primarily based in a manufacturing facility, requiring regular site visits and interaction with production teams.
- required to wear personal protective equipment (ppe) and adhere to safety protocols.
- the role involves extended periods of sitting in front of a computer.
- occasional standing or walking may be required during meetings, presentations, or site visits.
- work is primarily conducted in an office environment with controlled temperature and lighting.
time travel required
- travel to different office or plants locations, client sites, or conferences may be necessary.
