This role combines deep hands‑on expertise with strong leadership, promoting best practices, continuous improvement, and high‑quality engineering standards while mentoring others.The position is based in Cuautitlán Izcalli, Mexico.You might be travelling up to 35% domestic and international 15% of your time.What You Will DoAs a Senior Automation Engineer you will:Act as the technical reference for the automation engineering team, providing guidance and expert supportPromote best practices, standardization, and continuous improvement across projects and engineering activitiesDevelop and track project engineering deliverables including design, installation, and commissioning and life cycle tasksInterface with account managers and customers to assess requirements and support cost‑effective solutionsAnalyze, design, develop, implement and support automation solutions including PLC, HMI/SCADA, databases and cybersecurity.Configure control systems including PLCs, fieldbus networks, and distributed I/ODevelop electrical schematics, control panel concepts, and system architectureParticipate in design reviews and safety risk assessmentsLead and support automation activities during installation, commissioning, and performance testingTroubleshoot complex automation, electrical,



and integration issuesMentor and coach other engineers to strengthen team capabilitiesConduct customer training and ensure successful system handoverEnsure compliance with local and client standards, and internal quality processesWe believe you haveBachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation Engineering, or related technical field10+ years of experience with industrial automation systems in processing environmentsStrong proficiency in PLC and HMI/SCADA programming (Rockwell / Tetra Pak standard preferred)Experience with MES systems, databases, and virtualization technologiesWorking knowledge of ISA-S88 and ISA-S95 standardsStrong electrical design and troubleshooting capability (up to 600 VAC) and pneumatic systemsStrong problem‑solving skills and ability to handle complex technical challengesExcellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to clearly convey complex technical conceptsAbility to act as a technical leader and influence teams through collaboration and knowledge sharing across boundariesPassion for continuous improvement and driving engineering excellenceFluency in English & Spanish.
