México

Location: Mexico City, Mexico — strongly preferred

Employment Type: Full-time

Industry: Consumer Products / CPG / FMCG

Level: Director / Country Leadership

Salary: MXN $120,000–$150,000 gross per month base

About the RoleWe are looking for an experienced Country Commercial Director / Director of Sales to lead the Mexico business for a general consumer products organization.

Although the position sits within the sales organization, its scope is significantly broader than a traditional sales leadership role. This individual will effectively serve as the commercial leader for Mexico, with ownership of the country's commercial strategy, P&L; performance, forecasting, revenue growth, pricing, trade investment, distributor performance, and key customer relationships.

Mexico is a strategically important international market for the organization. The successful candidate will operate with a high level of autonomy and visibility, partnering with senior international leadership while working closely with a major third-party distributor and key retail customers.

This is an opportunity for an entrepreneurial commercial leader who is comfortable running a business, not simply managing a sales function.

What We're Looking ForWe are looking for someone who has developed progressively through the CPG / FMCG / consumer products industry and has already managed complex commercial organizations or markets.

The strongest candidates will have:

- Significant progressive experience in commercial and sales leadership within CPG, FMCG, consumer goods, food, beverage, personal care, household products, or similar industries.
- Previous experience at Sales Director, Commercial Director, Country Manager, General Manager, Business Unit Director,

or a comparable senior commercial leadership level.
- Proven experience managing businesses through third-party distributors or indirect route-to-market models.
- Strong understanding of both direct and indirect commercial models.
- Demonstrated ownership of a P&L; or significant commercial financial responsibilities.
- Strong commercial-finance capability and experience managing substantial trade investments.
- Experience developing accurate business forecasts and translating them into operational plans.
- Strong experience with major national retailers and key accounts.
- Exposure to multiple channels rather than expertise limited to a single channel.
- Experience influencing large cross-functional teams without relying exclusively on direct reporting relationships.
- Ability to balance strategic leadership with hands-on execution.
- Strong prioritization skills and the ability to identify the "vital few" initiatives that will materially move the business.
- Executive-level communication skills and the ability to explain the rationale behind major commercial investments and strategic decisions.
- Strong analytical, financial, and business judgment.
- An entrepreneurial, ownership-oriented approach to leadership.

Preferred Background
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.
- MBA or advanced business degree is considered an advantage.
- Experience within a large,

sophisticated multinational CPG/FMCG organization is highly valued.
- Experience managing a geographically complex or high-value national business is preferred.
- Strong familiarity with the Mexican retail and consumer-products market.

Compensation & BenefitsThe compensation package discussed for the position includes:
- Base compensation target: Starting MXN $120,000 per month
- Target annual bonus: approximately 15%
- Company car / car allowance
- Private health insurance
- Three weeks of paid vacation
- Mexican statutory employment benefits and locally administered benefits

Leadership ProfileThis role is particularly suited to someone who:
- Thinks like a Country Manager, not simply a salesperson.
- Can move comfortably from a strategic discussion with global executives to a commercial discussion with customers and distribution partners.
- Understands the numbers behind the business.
- Can accurately predict performance.
- Makes clear decisions about where to invest.
- Communicates the reasoning behind major commercial priorities.
- Can influence organizations that do not directly report to them.
- Knows how to focus an organization on a small number of high-impact priorities.
- Is comfortable being highly accountable for the performance of an entire market.

This is a highly visible leadership opportunity with significant influence over the future development of the Mexico business. Ottomate is proud to be an equal opportunity and affirmative action employer. We are committed to building a workforce that is representative of the users we serve, creating a culture of belonging, and providing equal employment opportunity regardless of race, creed, color, religion
