As a Senior Buyer for Indirect Purchasing, you will be responsible for leading commodities within Corporate Services, primarily Food Services and PPE. This will involve daily interactions with our North American based business teams and colleagues. The Buyer has functional responsibility for identifying potential sources, managing quotations, negotiating, and awarding long-term contracts. Additionally, the Sr. Buyer manages all aspects of the supplier relationship, including contract maintenance, achievement of annual cost savings targets and development of supplier/commodity strategies.

Main Tasks

Independent management of purchasing processes to determine suppliers
Conducting independent price and cost comparisons, negotiating, and preparing contracts with suppliers
Development and implementation of purchasing strategies and concepts

The position duties include but are not limited to strong data analytical skills, management of the sourcing process, managing complex projects, strategic supplier management,



ensuring delivery of the highest quality products and achieving best total cost solutions and products. Candidates must be able to build strong relationships with regional and general colleagues, business partners, and supplier partners. The ideal candidate would be willing to take full ownership of the commodities to drive issues to closure and ensure the highest quality and best total cost solutions are delivered on-time.

Basic Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Business.
Min. five years of experience in relevant field.
Ideally, many years of professional experience as a buyer in the international environment
Must be well organized, self-motivated, capable of managing conflict, ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, build intercultural competence, maintain strong relationships, and compile complex information
