About the role
The Supplier Development Specialist will support supplier readiness, capacity, capability, and operational performance by conducting on-site assessments, identifying risks, and driving structured improvement and recovery actions.



This role will work closely with suppliers and internal cross-functional teams to improve production stability, throughput, process capability, and readiness for new product introductions, volume ramps, and technology changes.
Key Responsibilities
As a Supplier Development Specialist, you'll be responsible for:
Conduct supplier capacity, capability, and readiness assessments across staffing, equipment, tooling, process stability, layout, flow, and quality systems.
Validate production capacity, vigente throughput versus quoted capacity, bottlenecks, and production allocation, and support corrective and recovery actions.
Execute structured problem-solving activities including RCA, 5-Why, fishbone, PFMEA reviews, and corrective action implementation.
Lead on-site supplier improvement activities using Lean tools such as 5S, flow optimization, standard work, and visual management to support capacity expansion and process optimization.
