Data Analyst

Role purpose:
Main activities:
- Manage and resolve HR-related data cases efficiently, ensuring accurate and timely responses. (60% of the role)
- Conduct ad-hoc analytics to provide actionable insights on workforce trends, employee engagement, and other HR metrics.
- Have full understanding of people dashboards and reports within PowerBI, Excel, SQL, R, or Python to utilise data effectively.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data needs and deliver tailored analytics solutions.
- Support data extraction and manipulation from cloud databases, with a preference for experience in Oracle, Databricks, or similar platforms.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of analytics processes and tools.
- Work within an agile environment, adapting quickly to changing priorities and requirements.

Requirements:




- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Technology/ Mathematics/ Statistics/ Economics/ Actuarial Science or equivalent will be preferred.
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in data analysis tools like Excel, SQL, Python, or R.
- Experience with data visualization platforms such as Tableau, Power BI, or similar tools.
- Exposure to Azure services, including Azure Data Factory, Azure SQL Database, and Azure Machine Learning is preferred.
- Good understanding of data modelling and database management.
- Experience in interrogating and interpreting data.
- Good understanding of HR operations, dashboards, and compliance requirements relevant to HR data.
- Knowledge of data privacy laws and data governance standards specific to the HR data.
- Excellent communication skills to translate complex data insights into clear, actionable recommendations for banking leadership.
