The Email Marketing Lead will own the strategy, execution, and growth of email and retention marketing across an e-commerce-focused client portfolio. This is a hands-on leadership role for an experienced marketer who can build scalable processes while remaining deeply involved in campaign strategy and execution. You will shape departmental standards, oversee audits, guide lifecycle marketing strategies, and represent email expertise directly with clients. The role spans email, SMS, automation, segmentation, experimentation, deliverability, analytics, and emerging AI-powered workflows. You will work closely with broader marketing teams to connect retention initiatives with cross-channel growth strategies. Accountabilities
Lead the email marketing department by establishing strategy, standards, processes, playbooks, quality assurance practices, and operating priorities.
Represent email marketing strategy and performance during client calls, building trusted relationships and potentially taking direct ownership of selected accounts over time.
Partner with leadership on department tooling, workflows, infrastructure, and long-term roadmap decisions.
Monitor and report on departmental performance, account health, results, and operational effectiveness.
Conduct and oversee email marketing audits across platforms such as Klaviyo, HubSpot, and Mailchimp, translating findings into prioritized improvement roadmaps.
