We are seeking a Jr. Packaging Specialist to support packaging development initiatives, supplier quality activities, and value creation projects across Mexico operations. This role will collaborate with Packaging Engineers, Quality teams, bottlers, suppliers, and manufacturing partners to help ensure packaging materials and processes meet Coca-Cola Operating Requirements (KORE), CPS standards, and business objectives. The ideal candidate will bring technical knowledge of packaging and quality systems, strong analytical and communication skills, and the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

What You'll Do for Us

- Support packaging development and optimization projects related to primary and secondary packaging materials across CPS Mexico operations, ensuring compliance with KORE and CPS requirements.




- Partner with Packaging Engineers and Laboratory Packaging Inspectors to facilitate packaging process initiatives and support the successful implementation of packaging improvements and new developments.
- Collaborate with Quality Control Analysts and packaging inspection teams to help standardize methods of analysis, inspection processes, and reporting tools aligned with company quality standards.
- Support supplier development activities through technical visits, packaging evaluations, quality reviews, and continuous improvement initiatives focused on packaging performance and compliance.
- Participate actively in supplier quality evaluations, including pre-assessments, on-site audits, corrective action follow-up, reporting activities, and compliance reviews according to IMBS procedures and company standards.
- Assist in secondary packaging supplier audits and communicate technical findings, observations, and compliance status to Packaging Engineers and internal stakeholders.
- Support the qualification and approval process for alternate suppliers by coordinating follow-up activities, documentation, testing requirements, and communication between suppliers and CPS Mexico teams.
- Generate and maintain packaging specifications within Picasso and related systems, including the creation and update of specifications for assigned projects and packaging materials.
- Participate as a member of the Packaging Distributor Work Team (DWT), tracking project activities, providing updates on assigned tasks, and supporting project execution milestones.




- Analyze packaging quality results, supplier performance data, and audit observations to identify improvement opportunities and support issue resolution initiatives.
- Work collaboratively with suppliers to strengthen quality systems, implement corrective actions, and support continuous improvement in packaging manufacturing processes.
- Assist with packaging-related problem solving using quality tools such as Pareto analysis, root cause analysis, and data evaluation techniques.
- Communicate project status updates, technical findings, supplier observations, and development activities to Packaging Engineers and relevant stakeholders on a regular basis.
- Support health, safety, environmental, and quality initiatives implemented within manufacturing plants, laboratories, and supplier facilities.
- Participate in risk assessment activities and maintain awareness of workplace risk matrices and operational safety procedures.
- Maintain confidentiality regarding proprietary supplier technologies, technical information, development projects, and company processes.
- Identify and escalation deviations related to quality, product safety, environmental compliance, or operational risks while supporting corrective and preventive actions.

Requirements & Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Packaging Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in a manufacturing environment with exposure to packaging development, supplier quality, quality auditing, packaging technology, or quality problem solving.
- Experience auditing packaging suppliers or participating in supplier quality evaluations is preferred.
