job summary

to support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we’re looking to add a buyer indirect located in guadalajara. Reporting to the commodity manager, buyer indirect role involves being responsible for coordinates activities involved with procuring direct materials, components and equipment.

what a typical day looks like:

- maintaining relations with the suppliers.
- placing orders for necessary raw materials and purchased parts according to the requirements of the production.
- receiving and handling the confirmations.
- checking the purchase orders and modifying them according to the changes in the production plan with the help of the shortage list and the open purchase order list.
- tracking shipments, urging them if needed.
- regular, weekly check of the stocks, avoiding overstock.
- minimizing the risk of obsolescence with the help of the weekly check of the obsolete report.
- correspondence with the freight forwarders, warehouses, and in case organizing the transportation.
- dealing with claims, settling debit and credit issues.
- assuring all active components according to production needs, in time, for the accord price in the request.
- reviews requisitions and mrp output.
- confers with vendors to obtain product information such as price, availability and delivery schedule.
- orders, reschedules and cancels material based on requisitions and mrp output.
- maintains procurement records such as items purchased, costs, delivery and inventories.

the experience we’re looking to add to our team:

- ba/bs or equivalent work experience.
- intermediated english level.




- experience facilities or engineering background.
- proven track record managing material availability to support production schedules (clear-to-build).
- experience using baan or sap.
- ability to manage demand changes through push in / push out execution.
- strong track record in shortage mitigation and expedite management in fast-paced environments.
- experience with end-to-end purchase order management.
- demonstrated experience in cost negotiation and cost reduction initiatives.
- experience working with suppliers.
