Type of Work: Presential at TAP JOB DESCRIPTION: *Liaison between Manufacturing and Engineering areas to address any issue related to Powertrain electrical components function / performance / assembly. *Prompt communication to Part Owner from Powertrain Electrical to inform on issues reported by the Assembly Plant. *Validate implementation in Assembly Plant of Engineering Changes from Powertrain electrical owned parts. *Coordinate and follow up execution of tests to be performed at Assembly Plant to confirm part conformance to customer’s requirements. *Perform proposed changes for part design are implemented into Assembly Plant; evaluate with Resident Engineer feasibility before Engineering Change processing. *Ensure to Assembly Plants that parts with pending validation are OK to be shipped and assembled into saleable vehicles. *Address & communicate to appropriate DRE Quality related issues from Root Cause definition until Permanent Corrective Action implementation. *Define rework procedures and obtain quotes from 3 rd party suppliers for on-site containment. *Create and evaluate requests for component’s functional testing in assembly plants before implementation into normal production. (Production Evaluation Request).



*Release temporary approvals for part validation on assigned vehicle families. (Interim Approval Authorization). *Support to Assembly Plants on the usage and application of specifications and design changes according to Engineering Changes. *Approve or reject documents for Temporary Substitution on components in Assembly Plant. *Request prototype parts manufacturing to solve warranty issues. *Obtainment of product changes information, implementation dates, service and/or recall technical bulletins, Product Engineering standards, bill of material and Engineering graphs. *Verify product manufacturing process before mass production release. *Request and obtainment of concurrencies on validations, temporary and definitive product deviations *Support Pilot and Pre-series events in Assembly Plants. QUALIFICATIONS *Bachelor’s Degree required in Engineering (Mechanical, Mechatronics, Automotive, Electric, Electro-mechanical, etc.). *Previous experience: Preferably 5 or more years in automotive industry as Product Engineer or product development-related position. *Hands-on experience in Assembly / Manufacturing Plants (position is required to be present in Assembly Plant in a daily basis).
