Job Description

Role Summary

Autoliv is seeking a LabVIEW Software Developer to maintain and enhance applications used by its Global Test Community. This position will focus on desktop application support, industrial hardware communication, database connectivity, troubleshooting, and documentation within the UTS environment.

The current applications were developed in LabVIEW after being transitioned from Delphi Pascal. Autoliv is also building a next-generation platform using React and Python, with the longer-term goal of migrating LabVIEW functionality to that platform over the next one to two years.



The immediate priority for this role is supporting and maintaining the existing LabVIEW environment.

Responsibilities

Maintain, troubleshoot, and enhance existing LabVIEW applications

Develop and support software integrations with industrial testing and manufacturing hardware

Collaborate with the lead LabVIEW developer and broader engineering team to support General Test Community processes

Debug, test, review, and document code throughout the development lifecycle

Develop and maintain connectivity between software solutions, local computers, servers, databases, and industrial hardware

Build an understanding of the overall system architecture to support ongoing maintenance and enhancements

Ensure solutions follow applicable company, team, and industry standards

Work with Oracle SQL in the current environment and support the future transition toward Microsoft SQL
