We are looking for a Commodity Manager to lead strategic sourcing activities plans and implements activities for cost reductions. Leads all negotiations in support of site/regional/global business. Provides leadership and acts as subject matter expert with respect to the assigned commodity. Prioritizes and maintains balance between cost of acquisition and cost of possession to maximize return on investment including methodologies to maximize working capital.

Core Areas:
Full ownership of end-to-end supplier negotiations. (Hard Cost - Soft cost savings / long-term agreements / Inventory programs / Payment terms / rebates).
Formulates and drives strategic sourcing initiatives.
Participates in NBO RFQ (New business opportunity). Works with sourcing analysts to identify best overall cost and completes NBOQ within established timeframes.
Provides benchmarking studies, market analysis.



Understand current market conditions, Geo-political environment and incorporates information into monthly commodity presentation.
Develops and maintains strong supplier relationships to include supplier site visits.
Supervises and reports on supplier strategies and spending.
Provides category analysis of site/regional/global spend to Initiate savings projects.
Organizes and leads strategic supplier business reviews (QBR’s).
Creates and maintains AVL’s (approved vendor lists), customer LOAs, Volex Contact pricing lists.
Assists in the development and enhancement of processes, systems and reporting capabilities to drive efficiencies in providing regional/global sourcing services.
Works with local purchasing to coordinate RM NPI buys and provides proper data handoff for production ordering.
Contributes to Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) reduction efforts and initiatives to achieve additional benefits.
