Job Description
The Software Developer – Golang at Wipro builds high-performance, cloud-native backend services that power large-scale distributed systems. You'll write clean, scalable Go code, design service-to-service communication with gRPC and Protocol Buffers, and deploy on modern cloud infrastructure. This is a hands-on engineering role for a builder who thrives on solving complex problems in a collaborative, Agile environment — and wants their code running in production at general scale.
Responsibilities
Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable backend services and microservices using Golang.
Build and integrate service communication layers using gRPC, RPCs, and Protocol Buffers (Protos).
Develop and deploy cloud-native applications on Google Cloud Platform (GCP), ensuring high availability, performance, and reliability.
Contribute to the design of distributed systems, including service discovery, concurrency patterns, and fault tolerance.
Set up and maintain monitoring, health checks, and prober configurations to ensure operational excellence.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (developers, SREs, QA) through the full software development lifecycle in an Agile/Scrum environment.
Participate in code reviews, write unit tests, and uphold engineering best practices for maintainable, secure code.
Required Qualifications
3–5 years of professional software development experience (L4 / Tier II equivalent).
Strong hands-on development experience in Golang (Go).
Solid working knowledge of RPCs, gRPC, and Protocol Buffers (Protos).
Proven experience building cloud-native software and distributed systems.
Familiarity with microservices architecture, concurrency, version control (Git), and CI/CD practices.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a collaborative, fast-paced team.
