Job Description

AVL is looking for a motivated Big Data Engineer to join our team in Mexico and contribute to vehicle development and validation projects for an automotive OEM based in Barcelona.

The successful candidate will analyze and interpret large datasets generated during vehicle testing and validation activities. Working closely with data scientists, engineers and customer teams in an international environment, they will contribute to developing big data solutions, identifying trends and anomalies, and preparing meaningful reports and visualizations.

This position offers an excellent opportunity to develop professionally in data engineering, analytics and data science while contributing to real automotive projects for a leading OEM.

Location: Puebla or Mexico City, México

Develop and maintain big data processing and analysis tools using Python.
Process, clean, transform and organize datasets generated during vehicle testing and validation activities using ETL, ELT or similar methodologies.
Perform statistical analyses to identify trends, patterns,



correlations and anomalies.
Develop data visualizations, dashboards and technical reports.
Collaborate with AVL engineers, data specialists and customer teams based in Barcelona to understand technical requirements and translate them into data-driven solutions.
Automate repetitive data-processing, analysis and reporting tasks.
Contribute to the continuous improvement of testing and validation processes through data-driven insights.
Support the definition and implementation of scalable data workflows and analytical solutions.
Participate in regular coordination activities with international and customer teams.

Profile Description

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Data Science, Computer Science or a related technical field.
Programming skills in Python. Knowledge of data-processing and analysis libraries such as Pandas, NumPy or similar tools.
Understanding of statistical analysis, data modelling,
