About The Position
Provide proactive and practical legal guidance on employment and labor law, corporate governance, and operational compliance across K2’s Latin American (SSL) business entities. Work effectively with sales, finance and business leadership to reach a successful outcome in contract negotiations. Resolve complex cross-border issues, especially those concerning labor, tax, and employment relationship presumptions in high-risk jurisdictions such as Mexico. Undertake role as Company Secretary, ensuring strong corporate governance and compliance in accordance with jurisdictional and internal K2 Group requirements.
Responsibilities
- Lead and maintain a Legal & Compliance function focusing on commercial and compliant solutions for K2’s Latin American entities.
- Independently review, draft, and negotiate a wide variety of complex commercial agreements and amendments to ensure terms comply with K2 Group’s minimum global standards. This task requires a deep understanding of commercial contracts and the ability to navigate intricate legal and business considerations.




- Advise and support the Head of Region and Finance Director for SSL in developing, adhering to, and actively managing high-priority risk mitigation strategies, including those related to tax compliance, shifting corporate regulations, and labor-law compliance across Latin America.
- Implement and enforce clear processes to maintain all governance documentation (e.g. Statements of Work, and other required documentation) for regional engagements to prevent operational gaps.
- Ensure appropriate service levels are maintained for the benefit of the business in relation to Legal and Compliance support.
- Representing the Company in relation to employment tribunal matters and lower court claims relating to the business where possible.
