**Trade Compliance Specialist**Position SummaryWe are seeking a Trade Compliance Specialist to support our import and export operations while ensuring compliance with applicable customs regulations and trade requirements.This position will serve as a key point of contact between internal teams, customs brokers, and logistics providers to ensure efficient and compliant cross-border transactions.
**Responsibilities**- Coordinate import and export shipments from origin through customs clearance and final delivery.
- Review and approve trade documentation, including:- Customs declarations (Pedimentos)- Certificates of Origin (USMCA/T-MEC)- Commercial invoices and supporting documentation- Ensure compliance with Mexican Customs Law (Ley Aduanera), USMCA/T-MEC requirements, and IMMEX regulations when applicable.
- Maintain accurate HS classifications and customs valuation records.
- Work closely with customs brokers, freight forwarders, and carriers to facilitate shipment movement.
- Resolve customs clearance issues and documentation discrepancies.
- Monitor import/export activities to ensure compliance with company policies and government regulations.
- Support internal and external compliance audits.
- Maintain organized trade compliance records and documentation.




- Provide guidance to internal stakeholders regarding import/export requirements and compliance processes.
**Qualifications**- Bachelor's degree in International Trade, Supply Chain, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
- 3-6 years of experience in trade compliance, customs operations, import/export, or international logistics.
- Strong knowledge of:- Mexican Customs Regulations (Ley Aduanera)- USMCA/T-MEC- IMMEX Program (preferred)- HS Classification and Customs Valuation- Experience working with customs brokers and freight forwarders.
- ERP experience required; SAP preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
