We are seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to be responsible for the accounting, financial reporting, and tax compliance activities of our Mexico operations.
This is a hands-on position requiring strong knowledge of Mexican accounting and tax regulations, financial statement preparation, payroll-related compliance, internal controls, and manufacturing accounting.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare monthly and annual financial statements for the Mexico legal entity.
- Manage month-end and year-end closing activities.
- Maintain the General Ledger and prepare journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations.
- Prepare federal, state, and local tax calculations and filings, including IVA, ISR, withholding taxes, and payroll taxes.
- Prepare and submit VAT refund (Devolución de IVA) applications and supporting documentation.
- Maintain compliance with IVA & IEPS Certification requirements.
- Prepare and reconcile payroll-related accounting and statutory obligations, including IMSS, INFONAVIT, SAR, SUA, and State Payroll Tax.
- Prepare accounting for employee benefits,



including vacation, Aguinaldo, PTU, bonuses, and other labor-related obligations.
- Prepare inventory reconciliations and support cost accounting, inventory valuation, and manufacturing variance analysis.
- Maintain and reconcile fixed assets.
- Prepare and reconcile intercompany transactions.
- Prepare financial reporting and supporting schedules for the U.S. corporate office.
- Account for foreign currency transactions and exchange rate gains and losses.
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
- Maintain and improve accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls.
- Identify and implement improvements and automation within accounting processes.
- Support ERP system improvements, financial reporting enhancements, and accounting system implementations.
- Work cross-functionally with Finance, Human Resources, Operations, Supply Chain, IT, and Corporate Finance.
