VOLCANIX AUTOMATION is seeking experienced **Controls & Robotics Engineers with strong BIW (Body-in-White) background** to support automotive projects across North America, primarily with **General Motors** and other OEMs.
**Responsibilities**- Program, troubleshoot, and optimize PLC systems (Allen-Bradley, Siemens)- Commission and debug **body shop equipment and robotic cells**:- Support production launches, cycle time improvements, and downtime reduction- Integrate robots with PLC-controlled systems and safety devices- Work with welding systems (spot welding, projection welding, stud welding)- Perform system validation, buy-offs, and customer acceptance tests- Troubleshoot electrical, controls, and robotic issues on-site- Collaborate with controls, mechanical, and production teams**Required Skills**:**Controls Engineering**:- Strong PLC programming experience- Platforms:◦ Allen-Bradley (RSLogix / Studio ****)◦ Siemens (TIA Portal)- Experience with industrial networks (EtherNet/IP,
