As a Polymer Materials Engineer, you will support the development, qualification, and implementation of polymer materials used in optical connectivity products. You will work closely with cross-functional global teams to identify material solutions, drive product innovation,
support manufacturing processes, and lead projects from concept through production implementation.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the evaluation, testing, and qualification of polymer materials to ensure product performance, reliability, manufacturability, and cost objectives are achieved.
- Support new product development through material selection, validation activities, prototype evaluations, and collaboration with product and process engineering teams.
- Manage materials and product development projects, coordinating timelines, resources, risks, deliverables, and stakeholder communication.
- Provide technical support to manufacturing operations by troubleshooting material-related issues, optimizing processes, and driving continuous improvement initiatives.
Experiences/Education - Required
- Bachelor’s degree in Materials Engineering, Polymer Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a relat
