Position SummaryThe Controller is responsible for leading the organization's financial operations, including accounting, financial reporting, budgeting, cost management, compliance, and financial planning. This role partners with business leaders to support strategic decision-making, ensure financial integrity, and drive operational excellence within a manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead accounting, financial reporting, and month-end closing processes.
- Prepare and analyze financial statements to support business performance.
- Manage budgeting, forecasting, and long-range financial planning activities.
- Provide financial analysis and recommendations to support decision-making and profitability improvement.
- Oversee cost accounting, inventory valuation, and financial controls.
- Support capital investment evaluations and business case analysis.
- Ensure compliance with applicable financial, tax, and regulatory requirements.
- Coordinate internal and external audit activities.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to support operational and financial objectives.
- Lead, coach, and develop the finance team.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives across finance processes.




- Act as a strategic business partner to plant and corporate leadership.

QualificationsEducation
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
- CPA, CMA, MBA, or equivalent certification preferred.

Experience
- 10+ years of progressive experience in finance and accounting leadership roles.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in manufacturing finance or accounting.
- Experience in multinational manufacturing organizations preferred.
- Strong background in budgeting, forecasting, cost accounting, inventory management, and financial analysis.

Technical Skills
- Knowledge of Mexican and U.S. accounting principles.
- Experience with IFRS and/or US GAAP preferred.
- Knowledge of tax, compliance, and international business environments.
- ERP system experience (SAP, Oracle, JD Edwards, Dynamics, or similar).
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
