This is a highly visible Finance leadership role with significant interaction across LATAM and New Era’s Corporate Finance organization in the United States.

The position is primarily focused on controllership, U.S. GAAP, financial close, technical accounting, audit and internal controls, while also providing senior oversight of the Mexico Tax function.

We are looking for an experienced Accounting leader who can independently manage complex financial matters, strengthen the control environment, develop a high-performing team and help modernize Finance processes as the LATAM business continues to grow.

Key Responsibilities

Controllership & Financial Reporting

- Lead Accounting and controllership for New Era Mexico, New Era LATAM and ’47 Mexico.
- Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting in accordance with U.S. GAAP, company policies and local statutory requirements.
- Lead monthly, quarterly and annual close governance, including balance-sheet review and close certification.
- Serve as the senior Accounting contact for Corporate Accounting and Controller teams in the United States.

Technical Accounting

- Provide leadership on complex and non-routine Accounting matters.
- Research, document and defend U.S. GAAP conclusions.
- Lead or review Accounting matters involving revenue, returns, inventory, COGS, reserves, royalties/licensing, leases, provisions, foreign currency, intercompany and tax accounting.
- Ensure significant Accounting judgments are appropriately supported, documented and escalated.

Tax Oversight

- Provide senior oversight of the Mexico Tax function and dedicated Tax team.
- Oversee tax compliance, tax accounting, deferred taxes, return-to-provision, transfer pricing and significant tax matters.
- Partner with Corporate Tax and external advisers on complex or material issues.

- Ensure routine compliance is effectively executed by the Tax organization while significant positions receive appropriate senior review.

Audit, Controls & Compliance

- Lead external audit activities and senior interaction with auditors and other advisers.
- Own resolution of significant audit and Accounting issues.
- Strengthen Accounting and Tax internal controls, balance-sheet governance and review standards.
- Drive clearer preparer/reviewer accountability, stronger documentation and sustainable backup coverage.

Systems & Finance Transformation

- Serve as the senior Finance business partner for Accounting and Tax requirements within SAP and related systems.
- Lead continued integration and stabilization of Finance processes for component entities.
- Identify and execute opportunities to automate reconciliations, close activities, audit support and other recurring Finance processes.
- Reduce reliance on manual workarounds and individual process knowledge.

- Lead, develop and coach the Accounting & Tax team.
- Establish clear responsibilities, delegation and review structures.
- Partner across FP&A;, Treasury, HR, Legal, IT, Operations, Commercial and Corporate Finance.
- Provide technical Accounting support on broader LATAM matters, including Brazil, as needed.

Candidate Profile

We are looking for a controllership leader first — someone with strong technical Accounting and U.S. GAAP capability who can independently resolve most Accounting matters and confidently represent LATAM Finance with senior Corporate stakeholders and external auditors.

The idóneo candidate combines a strong technical foundation with practical operating experience in a multinational environment.
