Role Description The Portuguese Teacher at Diaglobal Language School will deliver engaging, student-centered online Portuguese lessons to learners of various proficiency levels. This is a remote, contract role focused on planning and conducting virtual classes, creating and adapting instructional materials, and assessing learner progress through assignments, quizzes, and feedback. The teacher will support learners in developing listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills, while integrating cultural topics relevant to Portuguese-speaking countries.

Day-to-day responsibilities include maintaining accurate records of attendance and performance, communicating regularly with learners and school administration, and participating in occasional virtual meetings or training sessions to align with school standards and teaching methodologies.

Qualifications

- Strong Communication and Customer Service skills to interact effectively with learners and provide a supportive, professional learning environment.




- Background in Education and Teaching, including experience planning lessons, managing virtual classrooms, and using appropriate instructional methods for diverse learners.
- Proven Language Teaching experience, preferably in Portuguese as a second or foreign language, with the ability to explain grammar, vocabulary, and pronunciation clearly.
- Native or near-native proficiency in Portuguese and solid command of English for instruction and communication.
- Familiarity with online teaching platforms, digital tools, and basic troubleshooting in a remote learning setting.
- Relevant degree or certification in Education, Languages, Linguistics, or a related field is preferred.
- Strong organizational skills, reliability in meeting schedule commitments, and the ability to work independently in a remote, contract-based role.
