JOB SUMMARY

The Senior Quality Manager – Mexico Region provides regional leadership and strategic oversight for quality performance across all Mexico operations while ensuring alignment with Corporate Quality objectives and customer expectations. This role partners with plant quality teams, operations leadership, suppliers, and customers to drive consistent execution of quality standards, support customer satisfaction, and deploy best practices across the region.

The Senior Quality Manager serves as the primary regional liaison to Corporate Quality, ensuring standardized quality systems, rapid customer response, continuous improvement, and consistent implementation of corporate initiatives throughout Mexico operations.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Regional Quality Leadership

- Provide quality leadership and technical support to all Mexico manufacturing operations.
- Partner with Plant Managers and local Quality Managers to drive consistent execution of corporate quality strategies and customer requirements.
- Support plant leadership during quality escalations, customer concerns, launch activities, and significant operational issues.

Customer Support

- Serve as the regional quality representative for customer issues requiring corporate or multi-plant coordination.
- Lead regional customer issue escalation activities and ensure timely containment, root cause analysis, corrective actions, and customer communication.
- Support customer visits, audits, quality reviews, and executive meetings as required.
- Ensure customer-specific requirements are understood, communicated, and consistently implemented across all Mexico facilities.

Supplier Quality Support





- Partner with Corporate Supplier Quality and plant teams to resolve supplier quality issues.
- Support supplier containment activities, corrective actions, supplier development initiatives, and escalation management.
- Assist plants in driving supplier performance improvements that reduce disruptions to manufacturing and customer satisfaction.

Corporate Quality Alignment

- Act as the primary liaison between Corporate Quality and Mexico operations.
- Ensure Corporate Quality standards, procedures, policies, and strategic initiatives are deployed consistently throughout the region.
- Participate in weekly and monthly Corporate Quality Step Back reviews and communicate priorities, action items, and lessons learned throughout Mexico operations.
- Provide feedback to Corporate Quality regarding regional trends, risks, resource needs, and opportunities for improvement.

Best Practice Deployment

- Drive the sharing and implementation of best practices across all Mexico manufacturing locations.
- Ensure lessons learned from customer issues, supplier issues, audits, launches, and internal quality events are effectively communicated and standardized throughout the region.
- Promote standardization of quality processes, reporting methods, and problem-solving methodologies across all facilities.

Operational Support

- Assist plants in maintaining compliance with customer-specific requirements, IATF 16949, ISO standards, and corporate quality expectations.
- Support internal, customer, and third-party audits across the region.
- Coach and mentor plant quality leadership in advanced problem solving, customer management, and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Monitor regional quality performance and work with site leadership to develop recovery plans for underperforming metrics.

Leadership

- Foster collaboration between plant quality teams to improve consistency, communication, and operational excellence.
- Develop regional quality talent through coaching, mentoring, and sharing technical expertise.
- Championing a culture focused on customer satisfaction, accountability, operational discipline, and continuous improvement.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field.




- Quality Certification preferred (CQE, Six Sigma Green Belt, CQA, etc.).
- Years of Experience: 5+ years of Quality Engineering and at least 2 years in an automotive manufacturing/assembly environment.

TRAVEL Travel: Approximately 10% travel throughout Mexico and occasional travel to Corporate Headquarters and customer locations as required. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

- The desire to strive for both personal and operational excellence through a never-ending drive for continuous improvement with a commitment to achieving world class performance standards.
- Demonstrated use of data-based decision making and problem solving (PDCA, Pareto Charts, 8Ds, 5 Why, Budget, Forecast, Key Performance Indicators).
- Understanding of APQP process including strong working knowledge of PFMEA and Control Plans, ISO9001 or IATF 16949:2016 Quality Systems.
- Understanding of manufacturing engineering with respect to one or more of these areas: automated assembly equipment, product assemblies, tooling, fixtures and gauges.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Proven leadership skills; ability to collaborate across different stakeholders; and mentor and develop staff.
- Sense of urgency and an overall customer satisfaction focus. Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task in a fast paced, short-window automotive assembly and/or sequencing plant environment. Ability to effectively manage multiple projects simultaneously.

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills including presenting and the ability to influence all levels of staff. Strong computer skills in MS Office suite of software, especially with use of Excel.
