Participate with a top client in the automotive industry to define, author, maintain, and govern vehicle feature requirements Collaborate with Product Planning, Core Engineering, Systems Engineering, HMI, Software, Hardware, and Validation teams Translate customer and business needs into clear, testable, traceable requirements Define and decompose customer and stakeholder needs into platform-level functional and non-functional requirements Own requirement creation, authoring, review, approval, baselining, maintenance, and status tracking throughout the product lifecycle Analyze requirements for clarity, completeness, consistency, feasibility, unambiguity, testability, traceability, and alignment with program objectives, architecture constraints, standards, and customer expectations Facilitate cross-functional requirement reviews and resolve gaps, conflicts, assumptions, and interface dependencies with general stakeholders Develop and apply consistent requirement-authoring standards and best practices Maintain bidirectional traceability across customer, system, subsystem, software, hardware, and validation requirements Assess requirement changes for technical, timing, cost, compliance, and validation impact Manage changes through the approved review and change-control process Requirements Bachelor Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Software, or Systems Engineering 5+ years of automotive product-development experience, including responsibility for requirements definition, authoring, analysis, review, or lifecycle management Knowledge of at least one automotive functional domain, such as body, chassis, electrical, propulsion, interior, infotainment, connectivity, or advanced driver-assistance systems Ability to analyze issues across software, hardware, network,
vehicle, validation, manufacturing, and field domains and determine associated requirement gaps or changes Experience using IBM DOORS or comparable requirements tools (Jama, Rhapsody, etc.) Ability to coordinate requirement deliverables, manage priorities and dependencies, drive decisions, and meet program milestones across multiple cross-functional teams Working knowledge of automotive systems engineering, including functional decomposition, interfaces, architectures, and interaction of software, hardware, network, and physical components Knowledge of ISO 26262 and INCOSE-aligned requirement engineering practices Solid computer skillset in MS Office programs (Excel, Word, Power Point, Access) and Outlook Advanced English written and verbal communication skills Core Competencies Demonstrates expertise in defining, authoring, and managing vehicle feature requirements within the automotive industry, ensuring alignment with customer needs and program objectives.
