About This Role: We are hiring a Senior Accountant (CPG & eCommerce) for a fast-growing consumer products brand.
This is a highly autonomous role for someone who can independently own the monthly close process, maintain accurate financial reporting, improve accounting operations, and provide leadership with financial information they can trust.
This is not a task-based bookkeeping role.
We are looking for someone who can think critically, identify issues before they become problems, improve processes, and take ownership of the accounting function with minimal oversight.
The adecuado candidate combines strong accounting fundamentals with experience in inventory-based businesses, consumer products, manufacturing, or eCommerce environments.
Key Responsibilities: Own the full monthly close process, including journal entries, accruals, reconciliations, and financial reportingPrepare accurate monthly financial statements and supporting schedulesMaintain general ledger accuracy and ensure financial records remain complete and reliableManage inventory accounting, COGS calculations,



inventory reconciliations, and related accounting activitiesMonitor cash flow and provide visibility into business performanceBuild, improve, and document accounting processes and internal controlsIdentify accounting discrepancies, operational risks, and process gaps, and implement solutions proactivelyPartner closely with operations, supply chain, and leadership teams to ensure financial accuracy across the businessSupport budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activitiesDeliver financial analysis and insights to support business decisions Software / Platforms / Tools: QuickBooks Online or similar accounting softwareGoogle Sheets or Microsoft Excel (advanced proficiency)Inventory and purchase order management systemsCloud-based collaboration and file management tools Qualifications: 3–5 years of freelancing experienceExcellent written and verbal English communication skills (C1 or C2 level)6–10+ years of accounting experienceStrong experience in independently owning the month-end close processExperience within consumer products (CPG), manufacturing, inventory-based businesses, or eCommerce companiesStrong understanding of inventory accounting, COGS, reconciliations, accruals, and financial reportingProven ability to improve processes and operate with minimal supervisionStrong analytical thinking and business judgmentHigh attention to detail and commitment to accuracyComfortable working directly with founders and senior leadershipAbility to independently solve problems and deliver solutions, not just identify issues Shift Schedule: Monday to Friday, with some overlap with US business hours preferred
