Your Role: The Web Analyst is a key member of the agency's Data and Analytics team, owning the web analytics and pixel deployment architecture that everything downstream depends on.
You'll implement tracking via Google Tag Manager, troubleshoot setup issues across every paid ad platform the agency runs, and make sure data collection from client websites is airtight, from the first click through to CRM entry.
Reporting to the Data and Analytics Manager, you're joining at a pivotal moment — the agency is scaling its roster of education and nonprofit partners, and this role is instrumental in evolving the tracking workflow that keeps every campaign measurable and every report trustworthy.
You'll: Own tag management build and maintain data layers with the Web Services team; manage GTM container structure, triggers, and variables across a multi-client environment; implement server-side tagging where it improves measurement accuracy and durability Own conversion tracking configure standard and custom events (leads, applications, inquiries)
for accurate reporting and platform optimization; configure and maintain event tracking and key events in GA4 from ad click through form submission and CRM entry; partner with Paid Media and Web Services so every campaign and landing page launches with tracking implemented and verified Own QA, debugging troubleshoot mismatches between ad platforms, GA4, and CRM to root cause; run routine tag health audits across the portfolio; verify events in platform Events Managers and GA4 DebugView before any campaign goes live Own data privacy compliance — manage cookie consent banners and consent mode configuration across client sites; keep tracking implementations aligned with GDPR, CCPA, and other privacy regulations; monitor platform and browser changes that affect tracking durability and recommend adjustments Support documentation translate business requirements from account and client teams into functional tracking solutions; document technical setups so internal teams can interpret and rely on the data You Bring: 3+ years of hands-on tracking or web analytics experience in a marketing or agency environment Intermediate experience with GTM containers, trigger and variable creation, data layer implementation, and server-side tagging Practical experience planning, deploying, and troubleshooting conversion tracking across major ad platforms, with working knowledge of pixel and Conversion API (CAPI) configuration for Meta,
Google Ads, TikTok, and LinkedIn Hands-on GA4 experience, including event configuration, key events, and DebugView Comfort with HTML, CSS selectors, and basic JavaScript for tag troubleshooting and custom script implementation, and skilled use of GTM Preview mode and browser developer tools (inspect element, network tab) Understanding of data privacy requirements (GDPR, CCPA) and consent management platforms, and of how tracking decisions affect Paid Media performance KPIs An analytical, solution-driven mindset with a growth orientation, and strong communication skills that turn technical tracking concepts into clear narratives for non-technical audiences — education marketing experience (traditional or online) is especially valued Bonus Points: Interest in using AI or LLM tools to streamline tag management audits, automate data layer validation, or troubleshoot complex tracking discrepancies across ad platforms Familiarity using AI-driven insights to assist server-side tag configuration, optimize conversion modeling in privacy-first environments, or generate technical documentation for tracking setups An AI-forward mindset — curiosity about emerging AI trends in marketing technology and a willingness to experiment with new tools that could improve tracking efficiency or data analysis What's Offered: Remote role with the flexibility that comes with a distributed, async-friendly team Competitive compensation based on experience and location A pivotal, high-visibility seat on a scaling Data
