Position: Legal & Compliance Manager
Location: Mexico City (CDMX) – onsite

About the Role
We are a fintech company specializing in unsecured small‑installment lending (cash loans / app‑based credit) in Mexico. Our operations include online lending, in‑house collections, and outsourced collections. We are currently at a critical stage of regulatory compliance and licensing, including:

Establishing the local SOFOM entity with proper corporate governance and legal structure.

Managing regulatory registrations and maintenance.

Building a robust consumer protection and collections compliance framework.

Implementing data privacy compliance.

This is not just a contract‑review role. This is a “build‑from‑the‑ground‑up” compliance leadership position. You will be deeply involved in the full lending lifecycle—from origination to collections—designing and implementing compliance controls across the entire value chain. You will work closely with local regulators, vendors and third‑party agencies, external counsel, and the China headquarters.

Key Responsibilities
I.



Corporate Governance & Entity Compliance
Manage day‑to‑day legal affairs of the local SOFOM and related entities: articles of incorporation, shareholder and equity changes, legal representative changes, powers of attorney, registrations and filings; coordinate long‑term arrangements for shareholder/legal representative transitions.

Liaise with regulatory authorities on registrations and filings (e.g., CNBV financial entity registration, CONDUSEF registration); handle regulatory inquiries and periodic reporting.

II. Business Compliance (Lending & Collections)
Design and maintain compliance framework for the full lending process: loan agreements, interest and fee disclosures, standard terms and conditions, digital contracting, and e‑signature/evidence retention.

Oversee collections compliance: review and quality‑assess internal collection scripts and call recordings, enforce collections discipline, and prevent
