The AME engineering team is involved in the early phases of new product development to determine capital and labor estimates and also drives design for manufacturing to ensure new products meet quality and cost targets.
Under the direction of the Manager, the AME process groups will develop manufacturing plans to industrialize a new product.
Industrialization includes the determination of manufacturing assembly processes required to build, planning, purchasing the JIG-s; excising the fixture, and any other (by development defined)
test equipment.Has to be the main contact between operations/plants and development.What You Will DoLead the AME organizationDefine roles and responsibilities within operations from the AME point of viewLead AME operations process end-to-end in the entire organization of Professional SolutionBe the first line of contact for developmentWork out processes with quality about complain related improvementsBuild, maintain, and improvea continuous improvement systemProvides cost estimation for equipment during the new product introduction phaseDevelops recommendations to the Project Team for the best assembly equipment and processes to efficiently meet the capabilities as defined by Project ManagementShare concepts with other involved sites to ensure standardization and consider lessons learnedBuild up, work out a process to ensure new products are designed to minimize the manufacturing cost and align with process capability, taking into account lessons learnedSupport equipment ordering, installation, start-up, and ramp-up globally on other involved sites.Support equipment readiness based on project milestonesSupport the R&D; team to implement CV, EV, and DV built in the factory, proactively study the HARMAN customized components manufacturing process, and fully support PV and MP buildDevelop equipment for serial condition and to basis business case, supporting other manufacturing sitesContinuously monitor and evaluate new processes,
