TE’s Industrial and Commercial Transportation Solutions’ Molding Mfg and Process Development Engineers are responsible for developing and industrializing molding tools for new and existing products.

Job Requirements
- Understand product and quality requirements and develop appropriate mold tooling and molding processes in collaboration with external vendors to scale production with mínimal supervision.
- Collaborate with Product Engineering and Product Management in developing the next generation products by conducting early DFM to ensure manufacturing feasibility and scalability.

Utilize engineering tools such as Mold Flow to suggest product design changes for DFM.
- Estimate tooling cost, manufacturability cost drivers (cycle time, cavitation, scrap, material) for molding processes for existing and new products.
- Collaborate with Advance Quality to create process flow and PFMEA (Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis) to identify process risk areas
- during the early phases of development and

address them through detection or prevention methods.




- Develop tooling specifications and requirements, qualification plans generate RFQs (Request for Quote) (Request for Quote), review quotes and recommend suppliers in collaboration with

Procurement
- Review and approve FAI and take appropriate disposition actions as required, plan conditioning.
- Work with other engineering disciplines on the launch team to ensure all product requirements are met all the way thru to the final sellable part or assembly.
- Support EV/ DV (Design Validation)/ PV (Process Validation) sample builds.
- Actively mentor and coach other team members on best practices and processes.
- Work with external tooling vendors to develop, build and qualify new molds.
- Resolve problems encountered in the process of bringing new products from concept to market.
