Intern continuous improvement

The Continuous Improvement Intern will support the El Carmen Manufacturing Facility in identifying and implementing process improvements to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and improve product quality. This role offers hands-on experience in a dynamic manufacturing environment.

Job Responsibilities:
- Assist in mapping current state processes and identifying areas for improvement within manufacturing operations.
- Collect and analyze data to quantify process inefficiencies and potential gains from proposed improvements.
- Support the development and implementation of continuous improvement initiatives, utilizing lean manufacturing and Six Sigma principles.
- Participate in cross-functional teams to identify root causes of problems and develop effective solutions.
- Help track and report on the progress and impact of continuous improvement projects.
- Contribute to creating and updating standard operating procedures (SOPs)



based on improved processes.
- Support training efforts related to new or updated processes and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Conduct time studies and work sampling to optimize production flows.
- Assist with documentation and presentation of project findings to stakeholders.

Required Skills and Education- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Operations Management, or a related technical field.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
- Basic understanding of lean manufacturing principles (e.g., 5S, Value Stream Mapping, Kaizen) is a plus.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
