About the Role: Our client is seeking a Website Designer to create modern, responsive websites that blend strong visual design with usability. This role requires both creative design expertise and technical CMS implementation skills. The Website Designer will develop wireframes, build pages in content management systems, customize styling with HTML/CSS, and ensure websites are optimized for speed, SEO, and conversions.
Responsibilities:
Website Design & Layouts: Create wireframes and high-fidelity mockups in Figma, Sketch, or Adobe XD. Translate design concepts into responsive website layouts. CMS Development & Customization: Build and update websites on platforms like WordPress, Webflow, Squarespace, or Shopify. Customize themes/templates with HTML, CSS, and light JavaScript. Manage plugins, widgets, and integrations. Optimization & SEO: Ensure websites are optimized for performance, accessibility,



and mobile responsiveness.
Implement on-page SEO best practices (meta tags, alt text, heading structure). Run speed audits using tools like Google PageSpeed Insights, GTmetrix, or Lighthouse. Testing & QA: Test sites across multiple devices, screen sizes, and browsers. Troubleshoot bugs, formatting issues, or plugin conflicts. Collaboration & Feedback: Work with marketing and content teams to align site design with campaigns. Incorporate feedback from stakeholders into revisions while maintaining design integrity. File Management & Maintenance: Keep site design assets organized. Ensure CMS platforms are regularly updated and secure.
