Definity is hiring for a Sr. Staff Software Engineer to lead the design and development of scalable, high-performance software solutions for a mission-critical project with a leading automotive company in Fremont, California. What you bring
- 5+ years of professional experience in backend or server-side development
- Proven track record delivering large-scale projects in Go, Java, C++, Rust, or similar languages




- Strong understanding of backend fundamentals including SQL databases, networking, and security
- Basic familiarity with frontend technologies (HTML, JavaScript, CSS) and at least one modern framework such as React, Angular, or Svelte
- Proficiency in rigorous software development practices including version control, code reviews, CI/CD pipelines, monitoring, and logging
- Familiarity with controls engineering concepts, manufacturing processes, and PLCs
- Hands-on experience with Ignition and MES systems is a strong plus
- Excellent communication skills and demonstrated ability to lead technical initiatives from concept to production
- Advanced English

- Experience debugging PLC communications and distributed database consistency
