JOB SUMMARY

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

· Inspects construction work to ensure compliance with design documents.
· Interprets construction work to ensure compliance with contract drawings and specifications.
· Prepares related reports (such as Monthly Progress Report). Maintains required reports of daily construction activities.
· Prepares job-related correspondence; conducts contract/customer meetings.
· Informs senior engineer of specific problems and completion schedules.




· Utilizes tools to monitor departmental contractual cost and cost trends.
· Coordinates functions held on site, with respect to facilities and catering.
· Provides feedback to peers and appropriate managers.
· Recommends solutions to specific construction problems.
· Submits applications and other data to regulatory agencies for review.
- Knowledge and experience in preparing, reviewing, and evaluating construction and contractor quotations.
- Ability to analyze costs, compare vendor proposals, and support budget development and project cost control.

· Reviews and approves (if necessary) monthly contractor cost estimate. Reviews change orders.
· May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
· Maintains and develops documentation for responsible area.
· Knowledge and ability to manage and control construction material inventories, including material tracking, stock level monitoring, and inventory record maintenance.
