The Product Design Engineer serves as the liaison between the Navojoa Manufacturing site and the Design and Engineering teams. This position is responsible for analyzing and resolving issues related to product electrical performance, driving continuous improvement initiatives to increase First Pass Yield (FPY), supporting the qualification of End-of-Life (EOL) components, and actively participating in root cause analysis of manufacturing and field issues. Additionally, the role contributes to cost reduction projects and the implementation of engineering changes to ensure product quality and reliability.
Key Responsibilities.

Apply technical expertise to troubleshoot electronic design issues and identify the root cause of failures.
Participate in the development and maintenance of DFMEA documentation.
Propose design improvements and corrective actions for released products.
Lead End-of-Life (EOL) component evaluation and qualification activities.
Lead cost reduction projects through alternative component implementation and value engineering initiatives.




Collaborate with design engineers and cross-functional teams based on business needs.
Provide technical support to manufacturing lines and operations.
Identify and promote continuous improvement and cost reduction opportunities.
Provide accurate estimates of effort, resources, and timing required to implement corrective actions or alternative components.
Participate in Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) programs, events, training sessions, and communications.
Report unsafe conditions, unsafe acts, incidents, injuries, spills, fires, or illnesses to ensure immediate attention and corrective actions.
Comply with all Environmental, Health, and Safety policies, procedures, and regulations.
Support engineering changes, deviations, and product lifecycle management activities.
Participate in field failure investigations and root cause analysis activities.
