JOB SUMMARY:
The Controls Engineer position is responsible for the development and delivery, in coordination with manufacturing engineers, of the required manufacturing equipment and systems for manual to highly automated assembly and test equipment.



The predominant product lines that the Engineer will be responsible for are Control Devices (actuators/connectors/sensors/switches) and/or Electronics (Clusters/Control Modules). Actuator product line requires the Controls Engineer to work heavily with with PCBA (Melexis hall, allegro, etc.) calibration & programming. They will also be working with different versions of Automotive embedded system communication (CAN/LIN/Etc.)

This engineer will interact with M&E; vendors to define electrical and controls requirements, Traceability requirements, and Testing sequences and requirements for new manufacturing equipment and systems. They will also interact with the receiving manufacturing plant during installation and project start-up. The engineer should be able to work both independently as well as in a team based environment.
