JOB PURPOSE:
To manage manufacturing engineering and planning functions for a facility to ensure profitability of manufactured product. This position may also be responsible for support functions such as quality and tooling.

Investments/Capital Projects: $2-15 Million
Personnel: Department contains approx. 5-20M, 5-15S, 5-50H
JOB DUTIES:
Although organizations may vary, the following positions typically report directly or indirectly to this position: Manufacturing Technicians, Manufacturing Engineers,
Product Change Control Engineers, Manufacturing Project Engineers, 6 Sigma Black Belts, Manufacturing Engineering Supervisors and Product Change Control Supervisors.
Manages the Manufacturing Engineering expertise and provides guidance to establish the necessary requirements for cost effective manufacturing or assembly processes. Controls plant layouts, machine moves, and new equipment installations.
Contributes to the upgrading and maintenance of existing machine shop and assembly capabilities. Assures efficient performance of factory operations and minimizes operating costs through selection of tools, space layouts, equipment and manufacturing sequences.
Ensures assigned facilities and methods are provided for the manufacture of products in line with authorized product programs and capacity schedules. Provides tools, services and methods needed by factory areas to meet current executive schedules. Updates present equipm
