Head of People

We are seeking an experienced Head of People to lead the Human Resources function for a growing international Fintech with operations in Mexico.

As a key member of the local leadership team, this role will be responsible for shaping and executing the people strategy, strengthening organizational capabilities, supporting business growth, and fostering a high-performance culture.

The Head of People will have end-to-end responsibility for the employee lifecycle in Mexico while working closely with regional and integral stakeholders on broader People initiatives.

A key requirement for this position is hands-on experience applying Mexican Labor Law in real business situations. Beyond theoretical knowledge, we are looking for someone who has personally managed employee relations, terminations, labor risks, organizational changes, and other complex employment matters in Mexico.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as a strategic advisor to senior leadership on organizational and people-related matters.




- Define and execute the People strategy in alignment with business priorities and global HR frameworks.
- Lead the full employee lifecycle, including talent acquisition, onboarding, development, performance, retention, succession, and offboarding.
- Strengthen leadership capabilities and organizational effectiveness as the business continues to grow.
- Provide practical guidance on Mexican employment and labor matters, balancing regulatory compliance, employee experience, and business needs.
- Manage sensitive employee relations matters, including terminations, disciplinary processes, teleworking arrangements, organizational changes, and labor-related risks.
- Coordinate with external labor counsel when specialized legal support is required.
